Northacres is a wooded area with nature trails, perfect for dogs and dog owners wanting a stroll through the park. It is less suitable for ball-throwing (for that, try other off-leash areas with wide open areas). It features fenced-off habitat islands that preserve the native plants, with paths winding between them, and an outer gravel trail.
Amenities include a double-gated entrance, a full fence, water, picnic table, and sani-can for environmentally-friendly poop disposal. The forest growth at Northacres Park is one of the few in North Seattle, so please be respectful of the environment when you visit.
Work Parties are held on Volunteer Spirit Day, the 3rd Saturday of every month except December.
Steward: Steward position is currently open. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Directions: Located west of I-5 at North 130th Street. The off-leash area is in the northeast corner of the park. There is parking at the round-about next to the ballfield.
