Genesee

The Genesee OLA is approximately 3.2 acres, completely fenced with two double-gated entrances. It is easy to keep an eye on your dogs because it is relatively small, flat and secure The center 2 acres of the park are covered in gravel, which makes it mud-free in the winter, but dry and hot in the summer. There are only a few young trees in the grassy areas surrounding the gravel, which provide little shade. The Parks Department has started fencing one quarter of the park on a rotating basis to keep the grass from eroding. Parking is on Genesee St., which is a busy street, so it's absolutely necessary to put dogs on a leash before letting them out of the car.

Steward: Steward needed. Please e-mail cola@coladog.org if interested.

Directions: Located at 46th Avenue South and South Genesee Street.
